Learning To Abide Above

To live.
To live life abiding with Christ.
The goal of my life is to live always looking down from my position above with Christ and the purpose of this blog is to speak truth and bring the focus back to God everyday.
Everyday that I get up and think will I get anything done that is worthwhile. The days that seem to go on and on. The same stuff, same mess, same life, same problems. When I wonder if God is really there. Does He really hear my pain. Will I ever feel JOY again? Will He ever change me, make me into someone who will do the work set before her. Make me whole again.  Make me even CARE!
So I write this blog to remind myself-
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20 ESV)
And
"But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:4-7 ESV)
This is to live positionally.
I am CRUCIFIED, RISEN, SEATED
I must look DOWN on my issues and problems from my position above. Everyday I must remind myself who I am in CHRIST in order to live my life joyfully content while the chaos lives on around me. Loving my family, caring for them the way Christ cares for me.
Tomorrow.
I will wake up and probably lay in bed reflecting on what I think I might try to accomplish. I will fight the urge to look for something, ANYTHING, that I can use as a mental crutch. something to hid in, something to help me avoid
failure.
And I will Pray.
I will ask the Lord to guide my steps, to renew my mind because
"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." (Romans 8:5-6 ESV)
and then
then
I will BELIEVE HIM. Believe that He died for my sins. That I am FORGIVEN, even before the sins are committed. Because He promised
“I, I am He who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins." (Isaiah 43:25 ESV)
and
"as far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our transgressions from us." (Psalm 103:12 ESV)
And I will REJOICE because the Spirit hears me, He prays for me and that I was predestined, known by GOD before the foundation of the world. That He has a plan for me so ALL things work together for GOOD!
"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified." (Romans 8:26-30 ESV)
Praise be to GOD! Praise Him for loving us! For loving me, even when I am angry at HIM! I could never love someone the way He loves me!
I am ready, LORD. Renew a right spirit within me.
